Shustoke Farm Barns Wedding

April and Matt had the most amazing day in the utterly stunning Shustoke Farm Barns back in October 2021. It was a day filled with friends, family and so many laughs. The best time was had by everyone and was made even more special as the groom is one of my brothers. I had a great time capturing all the shenanigans!

Bridal prep

April got ready at her mum’s house surrounded by her closest friends and her beautiful daughters and niece. There were a lot of laughs and excitement as bubbly was consumed and hair and make up was perfected by Nicole’s Freelance Hair and Madyson from Head To Toe. I was absolutely blown away by how utterly amazing they all looked!

Arrival at Shustoke Farm Barns

The girls travelled in style and rocked up at Shustoke Farm Barns in a gorgeous pink VW camper van and April arrived in an equally beautiful VW Beetle (both provided by Beetlebugs VW Wedding Cars).

The first thing I did when I arrived at the venue was to check out the ceremony room. I have to admit, I think it may have been one of the darkest ceremony rooms I’d ever seen! After a bit of a ‘oh bloody hell how is this going to work’ moment, I found out exactly how it was going to work. And, oh my, did it work! The guest seating was lit beautifully by twinkly lights, candles and awesome diamond shaped windows. The end of the aisle where April and Matt would exchange their vows was in the perfect position to make the most of the natural light coming in from the side doors. I was absolutely buzzing as this was the perfect compliment to my own editing style. The ceremony itself was so intimate and perfect, and their son made the most fantastic ring bearer.

Confetti!

I just LOVE confetti!! Shustoke Farm Barns has such a great area for a confetti exit framed by the gorgeous building and with enough space to really make the most of the moment!

I loved whisking April and Matt away for a moment to take some special images of just the two of them. The gorgeous exterior at the front of the venue is just perfect for some privacy and makes a stunning backdrop.

The Drinks Reception

Set to beautiful music provided by Francesca Spencer, much fun was had in the intimate grounds of the venue. There are some absolutely magical areas for capturing some wicked candids and group shots.

Party time at Shustoke Farm Barns

After the amazing food and brilliant speeches came party time with awesome music provided by Urban Jukebox. This is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding, where everyone lets loose and can really go for it on the dance floor!

Sparklers and Night Portraits

Such an awesome way to end the best day ever – sparklers and night portraits at the front of Shustoke Farm Barns! This was the first time I had shot a sparkler exit (like a confetti tunnel but with fire!) and I had my other brother assisting me with the lighting which was a super fun bit of backwards-walking teamwork!
