Charlotte and Simon’s stunning Himley Glamping Festival wedding
Charlotte and Simon were married in the most beautiful ceremony at Himley Glamping. The whole day had the most incredible festival wedding vibes and was an absolute joy from start to finish. Their day was so wonderfully ‘them’ and all about the love. What I love about Himley Glamping weddings
Himley Glamping Weddings and Events has everything you could want in a festival wedding venue in the Midlands.
For starters, it has a real family feel. Belinda and her lovely family will make you feel at home straight away.
As the name suggests, there are glamping pods and areas to pitch a tent on site – no worrying about taxis or booking hotels! They have amazing catering options or you can provide your own. Entertainment options are also endless. This is the perfect DIY wedding venue with festival wedding vibes.
Wedding prep at Himley Glamping
Charlotte got ready at the lovely listed lodge which is right next to Himley Glamping. It is a spacious, two bedroom, self catered apartment with gorgeous views of Himley Hall and Park. It was perfect for the hustle and bustle of a wedding morning.
The wedding ceremony at Himley Glamping
One of the most beautiful things about Charlotte and Simon’s festival wedding was that the ceremony was conducted by Charlotte’s mum, Belinda (owner of Himley Glamping and fully qualified celebrant). This made the ceremony feel even more special and personalised.
Simon’s dad was the most fabulous flower man and his dog, Lilly, was the perfect ring bearer.
They also incorporated a glass ceremony. A glass ceremony involves the couple pouring glass pieces from a variety of separate vessels into one. This represents two people uniting as one, as the different glass particles will mix and won’t be separated again. The glass was later blown into a keepsake for Charlotte and Simon by Charlotte’s best friend and maid of honour, and represents their hopes and dreams coming together.
Their marriage certificate was sealed with a personalised wax seal. It began to rain at the end of the ceremony but that didn’t stop their confetti exit!
Couples Portraits at Himley Glamping
Himley Glamping is filled with secret areas and trails that you can totally get lost in but are PERFECT for couples portraits! I loved having a wander with Charlotte and Simon, exploring the beautiful grounds of Himley Glamping and pit stopping for portraits and silly business. Because we don’t do boring posing here!
It was still raining at this point so we got some gorgeous rainy wedding photos in the woodland and by some of the super cute festival wedding glamps. Fun fact – I stayed in ‘Daisy’ which is the pretty blue camper you can see in the images. She was so cosy and comfortable – I would highly recommend!
Portraits with parents
This is actually something I really love to do and think is really special for parents and my couples alike. Of course, this depends on the relationship my couples have with their parents but I always give them the option to have a special moment alone.
It was so lovely to step away from the crowd and hear how proud Charlotte’s mum is of her. I am obsessed with how these came out and I feel like these are definitely the images that will be treasured.

In true festival wedding style, Charlotte and Simon’s Himley Glamping wedding came complete with fun and games, an ice cream van, an incredible magician (Damon Conlan) and SO MANY BUBBLES!
Providing the musical accompaniment to the shenanigans was Tim’s Wedding Piano who just blew us away. He took requests from the guests and could play everything – and I mean everything!
The food provided by Grumpy’s Catering Co was divine and enjoyed by everyone.
The biggest surprise came later on when Himley Glamping became overrun by animals and Pokémon characters! Much hilarity and silly business ensued with Charlotte and Simon being chased by the hoard.

It wouldn’t be a festival wedding without a party! For the first part of the evening, we were serenaded by Tim and his beautiful piano playing, which was perfect for slow dancing and relaxing.
Charlotte and Simon had their first dance surrounded by their loved ones who kept the festival wedding feel by cheering them on and blowing lots of bubbles.
Things quickly escalated into full blown party time and we had the best time partying the night away in the open air.

Himley Glamping is the perfect location for your festival wedding. With all amenities on site, including cosy camper vans, beautiful yurts and a spacious camping area, Himley Glamping is a great choice. External catering companies, and entertainment can be hired to ensure you get exactly what you want from your festival wedding.
This is NOT a cookie-cutter wedding venue. Belinda and her team will work incredibly hard to make you feel like one of the family, and to give you the wedding of your dreams. I couldn’t recommend this festival wedding venue higher, it definitely has a place in my heart.
