Jess and Will’s stunning Grendon Lakes wedding
Jess and Will chose to get married at Grendon Lakes, and what a beautiful day they had! Their whole day was packed full of family, friends, love and laughs. What I love about Grendon Lakes weddings
Grendon Lakes is the perfect spot for couples who want a beautiful wedding day by the water. From the photo opportunities on the jetty, to the way the sun sets *perfectly* over the lake – you will not be disappointed!
They have both camping and glamping opportunities on site which is super convenient and means you can party all night without the worry of how you’re getting home.
The staff are fantastic and really help to make your wedding go smoothly.
Wedding prep at Grendon Lakes
Jess had her hair and make up in the small lodge by the ceremony room. Along with her bridesmaids, they then set off into the woods to one of the glamping pods, which was the perfect boho setting for her and her I-do-crew to do the final preparations.

Jess and Will had originally planned to get married in an outdoor ceremony by the water which would have been utterly gorgeous… if it weren’t for the rain! Luckily, Grendon Lakes have a backup plan and arranged the ceremony in the beautiful lakeside lodge to ensure everyone was comfortable and warm. Luckily, we weren’t inside for long, as the sun decided to shine by the end of the ceremony which meant we got our incredible confetti photos outside. Jess and Will definitely understood the confetti assignment of ‘the more the better!’
Couples Portraits at Grendon Lakes
Grendon Lakes has the most beautiful backdrop for couples portraits. We popped out to the jetty for some incredible photos in the sunshine. Rainy mornings and sunny afternoons have the BEST skies! The great thing about the jetty is that I’m not actually very close to the couple. This meant that Jess and Will got a few moments to themselves while I snapped away.
Golden hour, which is the time just before sunset, is a dream at Grendon Lakes as it sets over the water and feels totally magical. Another great excuse to have a little alone time while I capture from a distance.

There is so much space at Grendon Lakes, making it the perfect location for lawn games. It also has a really down to earth and chilled out vibe which is great for unwinding before we eat!
Jess and Will had lots of games around the green which was very much enjoyed by their guests. Grendon Lakes allow couples to hire external catering companies for their weddings and the food we had was incredible.

Jess and Will had use of the marquee by the water. As they chose a summer wedding, the sun was setting as they had their first dance. This meant that the dance floor was lit with a gorgeous, dreamy golden glow. This is quite different to the way I usually photograph a dance floor but I love how summery and fun it was.
I had such a brilliant day celebrating with Jess, Will and their nearest and dearest and LOVED partying with everyone on the dance floor. What a beautiful day!
FINAL THOUGHTS ON Grendon Lakes WEDDINGS
Grendon Lakes is the perfect venue for couples who want a relaxed, lakeside wedding. I LOVE that they have accommodation on site in the form of yurts, glamping pods and a camping area. All the staff are super friendly and work really hard to ensure weddings go off without a hitch. They even have options for couples to go out on the water! A fantastic choice for couples who want something a bit different, with the convenience of having everything on site.
