BARTON HALL WEDDING

If there is one word I could use to describe Gail and Jayson’s stunning Barton Hall wedding back in July, I would say it was ‘FUN!’
From start to finish, their wedding at Barton Hall was all about them as a couple and their journey. Jayson’s children spoke so highly of Gail and her becoming their step mum. You could honestly feel the love throughout the whole day. And what a party they had!

GROOM PREP at home

From the second I arrived at their house to capture groom preparations with Jayson, the shenanigans were well on the way. Highlights include the fact that not one groomsman knew how to tie a cravat (thank goodness for YouTube, eh boys!) and the subsequent tutorial, meeting their beautiful doggos, and the hunt for the missing button (which turned out to be on the shirt the whole time).

BRIDAL PREP at Barton Hall

Bridal prep with Gail was just as exciting! I met MORE dogs, there was a luxurious spread of yummy treats, and we all watched Gail transform into the most beautiful bride you ever did see. Her dress from Icon Bridal was absolutely stunning and looked to be made just for her.

ONWARDS TO BARTON HALL!

G+L Elegant Occasions dressed the beautiful Orangery, with flowers by Butlers Blooms. What a job they had done – everything looked perfect. A few of us had a quick chat about how stunning it all looked. Then something magical happened. We noticed an admiral butterfly sitting on the wall by the glass ceiling. Gail’s dad had passed a few years prior and the butterfly just so happened to be perched right above the seat that was reserved with his photograph on it. We all took a little moment.

THE CEREMONY in the orangery

Gail was escorted down the aisle by her sister and I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Throughout the whole ceremony, the love was palpable. There were laughs aplenty and it was so utterly ‘them’. The Orangery was the perfect location. All the natural light and the view of Barton Hall itself and the grounds makes for a magical setting.

CONFETTI at Barton Hall!

Gail and Jayson really outdid themselves with their confetti planning. They had prepared SO MUCH CONFETTI! Which is exactly what is needed for the perfect confetti walk. Barton Hall has such a fantastic pathway for this shot as the Orangery is in the background, framed by the trees, and it’s long enough that all the guests can fit comfortably. Kudos to their guests who followed my instructions to throw the confetti ‘up, not at’ perfectly – just look at how epic it was!

THE DRINKS RECEPTION AND SHENANIGANS

The drinks reception was held in the Orangery, which again was just perfect. Everyone could relax and have a laugh with the new Mr and Mrs. We took a little stroll, just the three of us, around the grounds to get some special pictures of just the two of them. It also gave them a little time to decompress and just be together for a while. Although, knowing the two of them, of course it led to absolute tomfoolery, which included some very questionable jokes, the ‘famous Marlow pile-up’, and a fireman’s carry back to the reception.

OFFICIAL BUSINESS for a Barton Hall wedding

The newlyweds welcomed each guest in a very beautiful and emotional receiving line into Barton Hall which, again, had been dressed to perfection. The speeches were so beautifully heartfelt and the food was AMAZING. Gail and Jayson did something I had never seen before but was so clever and worked so well. They had written a place name for themselves at each table and planned to eat each course at a different table. What a fantastic idea! This meant they were able to connect and have a proper chat with every guest – loved that.

THE PARTY!

What a knees-up! There was so much dancing and fun led by the guys at Big Bopper Entertainment. Did you even get married at Barton Hall if they weren’t there?! The cake made by Byrn Bakery was divine – I do love a cheese cake and this one looked (and tasted) incredible. Everyone who came to celebrate with Gail and Jayson did just that – the entirety of Barton Hall was filled with love. The non-stop dancing was a sight to behold and they partied the night away. Big shout out to the wedding coordinator at Barton Hall for making the day run so smoothly and being there every step of the way. I had the best time capturing Mr and Mrs Marlow’s wedding at Barton Hall and I know that they are going to have the best time being married – the good times have just begun!
